Photos and Links, Oh My!

// July 11th, 2009 // No Comments » // General

I take LOTS of pictures of my garden and not all of them end up on here! If you’d like to see more, check them out here:

I’ve also created a Delicious account for this site, which is a bookmarking service. Any link about gardening that I find interesting should show up in the “lifestream” section to the right. Here’s the main page of bookmarks if you want to see them all:

Quick Note

I’m changing the website design, so things are a little wonky! I’ll get it fixed ASAP.

Edit: Done! For now. It needs more color, but I’ll have to get to that later. :)

Boise Garden Tour

// June 14th, 2009 // No Comments » // General, Spring

I should have posted about this sooner, but today is the Boise Garden Tour until 5pm. Here is the information: http://www.lunarialeague.org.

My mom and I went this morning and WOW there are some amazing gardens here! I took so many (over 200) pictures but I don’t know if I should post some of them here… Anyone know the etiquitte/protocol on that?

We got a lot of good inspiration; I’m going to be drawing plans/ideas for the rest of the afternoon probably.

Welcome!

Welcome to A Garden in Boise.

The southwest corner of Idaho is a unique part of the Pacific Northwest. Our low yearly rainfall and high summer temperature necessitates extra planning for gardens and landscapes. Xeriscaping has been gaining popularity lately, as well as other water-saving garden ideas.

This blog will mainly be a journal about my own garden, but I will share all research I do so that others in this area can benefit! I hope to have various guest bloggers, and provide a lot of great resources. Please feel free to suggest any ideas for posts, research, or anything of that sort! Thank you!
